2015 ICMC - Change The World
Sunny Phoenix was the site of this year’s International Campus Ministry Conference (ICMC) where students from the western parts of the United States were inspired to ‘Change the World’ for Christ. Over 1100 students gathered from July 2nd through July 5th and witnessed an incredible time of worship, teaching, learning, serving, inspiration, and fellowship. Hearts were moved. Lives were changed. And one student from the Rio Grand Valley campus ministry made the decision to make Jesus, Lord of their life.
From the opening session, where Marty Wilkinson from College Station challenged us to hear the call of God and watch the wonders He will preform, to the closing sermon, where Steve Lounsbury from Los Angeles inspired us to die to our old ways and let God help us grow to more then we can ever imagine. God worked throughout the conference.
One of the highlights from this year’s event was the HOPE day of serving. The students visited a Native American school where they were able to clean and rebuild a school that normally would not have the funds to make the necessary improvements. The school and its staff were encouraged, the students were tired, yet overjoyed to serve a need just like the son of God did during his time on this earth.
The challenge to Change the World is still on the hearts of many as they prepare for this next school year. This was a great time of refreshing and we look forward to being together with all the students from the United States next year in St. Louis for the 2016 North American Discipleship Summit.
