Derik and Leigh Anne Vett: Derik and Leigh Anne have served in the ministry since 1991 when they went on a mission team to Moscow, Russia. They met on the mission team, fell in love and were married 1 year later. They planted churches in St. Petersburg,Russia, Vladivostok,Russia, Minsk,Belarussia, Oslo, Norway and Reyjavik, Iceland. They lead the church in St. Petersburg for 2 1/2 years before leading the church in Stockholm, Sweden for 3 years. They love the mission field and stay actively involved with the Russian churches. After coming back from the mission field in 1997, they landed in Los Angeles for 4 years leading various ministries with the focus being campus and teen ministries. In 2001, they moved to Dallas and are currently leading the Dallas East Region of the church. They have 3 beautiful children, Haley 13, Joshua 10 and Emma 5.
Bill and Sally Hooper: Bill and Sally have been married for 42 years and have lived in Plano for the last 16 years.The first 20 years after Bill graduated from college was spent in aerospace engineering and the computer science field. In 1987,they felt God’s call to enter the full-time ministry and moved to Boston from Columbia, SC. In 1990, they moved to Los Angeles to serve in the early years of the church planting before moving to Dallas in 1992. They have three children and three children by marriage with eight wonderful, adorable, and talented grandchildren. Their son Dave and his wife Angela were married while serving in Moscow on the mission field. They lead the church in Austin, TX,and they have three daughters Stasya, Savannah, and Callia. Their daughter Leigh Anne and her husband Derik were also married while in Russia shortly after planting the St. Petersburg church and they now serve in the Dallas church. They have two daughters, Haley and Emma and our only grandson, Joshua. Their son Steve (A&M Aggie) and his wife Trish are in Fort Worth where he is the administrator for a nursing home. They have two daughters, Katianna and Allison.
Rolonda Thrift: Rolonda was baptized as a disciple in 2000 at Texas A&M in College Station, TX. Soon after her baptism she became a Campus Bible Talk leader, and then later helped lead the Campus and Singles in College Station. Upon graduating from Texas A&M with a degree in Business Marketing, she moved to Dallas to begin a successful career in Automotive Internet Sales. After 3 years of working in the corporate world and leading the Singles in the Dallas East Region, Rolonda left the "American Dream" topursue her Spiritual Dreams andcalling. She now serves as a part-time intern for the Teen Ministry.
Alex Hammond: Alex first became a baptized disciple in the fall of 2000 during his freshman year of high school as a 14 year old teenager. This decision came after watching his parents Joseph and Sheila and his sister Brigette Hammond give their lives fully to God. After four years in the Houston teen ministry he then went on to Austin to study Political Science at St. Edwards University. During this time, Alex was able to serve as a Teen Ministry intern in the Greater Houston Church the summer of 2006. The following summer he was chosen to serve as a Campus Ministry Intern at the University of Texas for the Austin International Church of Christ. Upon completion of his degree, Alex was immediately hired as a Deputy Campaign Manager for a successful State House of Representatives campaign. This led to him serving the State as a full time Legislative Aide for a newly elected State Representative during the 2009 Legislative session. Alex then left his career in politics to pursue his true calling and now serves as a full-time intern for the Teen Ministry in the Dallas East Region.
