![]() The population of the United States for ages 18 and over is about 41% Single. According to the 2006 Census, 50.3% of Head of Households in the United States (more than half) are Single. In Dallas Texas, out of the 451,833 total households on the census, only 38.8% of those households consisted of a married couple, living together. Based on these trends and statistics, it is obvious that having a vibrant and active Singles Ministry would be crucial for the well being and longevity of any church. With this in mind…
Who We AreWe are over 120 singles spread throughout the DFW Metroplex. Though we have an incredible diversity of age, race, education, and background, we are unified in our Biblical convictions as we live in undivided devotion to God. Whether you’re a single parent, have just graduated from college, or are a mature single, you will feel welcomed and are encouraged to participate as we inspire each other in our faith to become more like Jesus Christ.
For Singles & Friends by Single DisciplesOur motto for 2009 is A.C.E.S. (Advancing Christ in Every Soul). This organized and focused ministry has many regularly scheduled events throughout the year, which are planned by singles representatives from all regions of the church. For example, we meet for an all-singles Wednesday worship service 12 times a year and also have monthly church-wide singles events like ice skating, semi-formal dances, camping trips and devotionals. Mission StatementOur Singles Ministry is an outreach ministry of the DFW Church of Christ, connecting members in the body of Christ to GOD and each other. We provide a place of belonging in an authentic, Christ-centered community which glorifies GOD and shares the love of Christ. We offer opportunities for faith filled worship, bible based study, service to others using our talents, spirit-led mission, growth through discipleship and dynamic fellowship.
